Jude Duane
Jude Duane is a New Jersey-based composer and sound artist. A pianist since kindergarten and a trombonist since 4th grade, music has long been an integral part of his life. Music provided Jude, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, a means to comfortably communicate with his community, and this comfort eventually led him to composing. He began writing music during high school and received his Bachelor of Music degree at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. Currently, Jude is studying in the Master of Music program at New Jersey City University under the tutelage of Dr. Saad Haddad.

Jude's music has been described as "aggressive" and likened to "niche internet micro genres invading a classical music concert." His music has been performed by ensembles such as the Kompass Ensemble, newCELF, Osmose Intermezzo, and the Serious Ensemble. He has attended the Summer Institute of Contemporary Performance Practice (SICPP) as well as multiple editions of the Divergent Studio. Additionally, Jude was recently selected as a composer participant for New Music on the Point.
Jude is also a professional archivist who currently works for the Ironbound Community Corporation. He has previous archival
experience with Cengage and the Institute of Jazz Studies.
